Shearin’ Day

Sheep shearing day is always fun. Our two babydoll southdown sheep have a 4 inch thick wool coat that they are glad to take off for spring and summer.

Here’s a clip of the kids helping to herd Pearl into the barn to be sheared.

Each spring since we’ve had the farm, two geese have flown in, built a nest, raised goslings, and flown away. No way to know but we like to hope they are the same two geese so we named them Goosie & Gander. Here are a few shots of Goosie laying low on her nest.
