Learning to whittle like Daddy is a right of passage for a kid. Going from not being able to hold a sharp knife to learning how is a big deal.

New Song Christian Academy 8th graders shared one last fun night together before saying goodbye to middle school. It was a wonderful night.

Just had this sign made for the inside of our barn. A great craftsman by the name of Ross from OK runs a store on etsy.com making signs from old wood.

Our 5 year old Claude and our Corgi Persimmon are big buddies. But I don’t know that Claude saw this coming…

Sheep shearing day is always fun. Our two babydoll southdown sheep have a 4 inch thick wool coat that they are glad to take off for spring and summer.

And finally, the reveal..,

Each spring since we’ve had the farm, two geese have flown in, built a nest, raised goslings, and flown away. No way to know but we like to hope they are the same two geese so we named them Goosie & Gander. Here are a few shots of Goosie laying low on her nest.

And while she doesn’t seem to mind us being around, she’s not a fan of our dog Persimmon. This is a bad quality video but just in case you did know a mother goose could hiss like a snake…

It’s hard to believe baby Winston, youngest of our seven children, is already a year old. We enjoyed a warm spring day for his party in the barn loft.

Here’s a few fun shots of Claude enjoying an “underdog”, which is where a person pushes you so high on the tree swing that they run under you as they give you one last giant push that sends you soaring toward the sky.

Ooooooh how we needed this warm day to be outside and run and play.
