Meet Baby

We decided that our new mini pig “Piggy” was lonely. So we got her a new best friend. “Baby” is also a mini pig. She’s black which is the most common color for mini’s. Piggy & Baby haven’t been more than a few inches apart since they met. They are quite a pair.

Big Buddies

Claude (right) and Abel are first cousins and are never far apart. It’s fun to watch them make big memories together around the farm.

Movie Night

A movie under the stars is always a treat.

One of our favorite farm desserts is dutch oven apple cobbler. The ingredients are few and simple but the taste is spectacular.

Ridin’ Shotgun

Riding shotgun with me in the truck is a huge treat for our Corgi, Persimmon.

Piggy

Our new mini pot belly piglet “Piggy” is growing fast. She’s in a secured stall for a while to keep her safe, so we decided to take her out for some extra attention. But catching Piggy isn’t as easy as it sounds…

Just got this fantastic video of our 4th of July party from my good friend Ray Sadler.

Carrots!

We waited as long as we could to see if our carrots were growing just beneath the surface. We were all very excited to see our orange treats! We also had a purple variety that was fun to see (and eat!).

Let Freedom Ring

One of our favorite parties of the year is July 4th. With 60 of our friends and family there, we enjoyed lots of great food, waterslide fun, hayrides, etc. My favorite part of the night is when Rhonda leads all sixty of us down the driveway to the barn singing America The Beautiful whlie we all carry flags. When we get to the bottom we all say the pledge of allegience together. Then her brother David finishes by playing The Star Spangled Banner on his trumpet. After that, everyone heads to their places to enjoy a Galloway Farm firework show. We are so thankful to our military for making and keeping our country great and free.

I noticed I hadn’t seen the boys in a while so I went to find them…and this is what I found.
